The Hong Kong Securities is a bi-lingual bi-monthly professional journal for industry practitioners in the region and global markets.

"Hong Kong Securities" March / April 2008 issue now available

Highlights :

This issue will look into the mechanism and related issues of sub-prime mortgages that have triggered a global crisis for the financial markets recently. The recent SG case and remedial actions will also be discussed.

Buoyed by its strong corporate performance and inflows of foreign capital, India's stock market enjoyed a bumper year in 2007. This issue will look at how India will perform and the prospects for its other financial markets this year.

Other articles include a feature on the customer relationship management; a product update on the future of property derivatives market in the Asia-Pacific region; and a market update on the recent amendments of the Capital Gains Tax in UK and its implications for AIM.

Mr Stewart Shing, Head of Clearing Division of HKEx, is featured in our Member Profile, sharing his long years of service in the local financial industry in particular the development of CCASS and AMS.

Two books are reviewed in the Reading List of this issue: "Profits, Politics and Panics: Hong Kong's Banks and the Making of a Miracle Economy, 1935-1985" and "Opportunities in Chinese Capital Markets and Banking".
