Individual membership

Affiliation with the leading industry professional is an important step taken for your career advancement. Candidates enroling in any papers of the HKSI Licensing Examination for Securities and Futures Intermediaries (LE) and the HKSI Professional Diploma in Financial Markets (PDFM) now have the opportunity to become a HKSI student member for one year. Through our quality seminars and workshops, training programmes and professional examinations, you are connected to a network of experienced practitioners.
Practitioners in the financial and investment industry will be eligible to apply to join the Institute if they meet the requirements for Affiliate membership and Ordinary membership.

Corporate membership

 
Led by the Board of Directors and Committee Chairmen, with the support of the management team, your corporation will add to the strength of the Institute as a leading professional body representing the industry's interests. A range of VIP programmes such as the Chairman's Dinner and Executive Briefing alongside with our quality seminars and customized in-house training programmes will be the available to you and your staff as part of the corporate membership package.

Membership rules

 
All individual members must adhere to the 'Membership Rules'. These Rules were made by the Board of the Institute pursuant to the powers set out in the Institute's Memorandum and Articles of Association.


HKSI Web Survey - Over 1,200 members and practitioners responded

 
The Institute is pleased to announce that the HKSI Web Survey 2009 has been concluded recently with over 1,200 valid responses received from our members and practitioners.  The survey result provides many useful information and insights for the Institute to consider for the web enhancement planning. A lucky draw has been made. Each of the 10 lucky draw winners will receive a complimentary copy of the latest business and finance titles sponsored by publishers.



Nomination for HKSI Fellowship

 
In recognition of the longstanding support and continuous contribution of HKSI members to the Hong Kong financial industry, the Institute introduced the HKSI Fellowship in 2003 for senior members to pursue in parallel with their status and prestige in the Institute and industry.  There are 34 Fellows since launched; they are all senior industry professionals and significantly dedicate their efforts to uphold Hong Kong as a leading international financial centre.


The application for progression to fellows is an annual exercise for Ordinary Members.  All current Ordinary Members with 15 years industry experience and
at least 5 years HKSI Ordinary Membership, having made a significant contribution to the Institute and industry, are now invited to apply.   Alternatively, Ordinary Members holding the HKSI Professional Diploma in Financial Markets (PDFM) or the HKSI Diploma Programme Examination (DPE) qualification with 7 years post admission experience will also be eligible.  Click here for detailed requirements.


Completed nomination form, with a non-refundable administrative fee of HK$500 should be submitted to the Institute no later than 31 July 20
10.  Each application needs to be endorsed by two Ordinary Members acting as nominators.


The applications will be assessed by the Nomination Committee which makes recommendation to the Board for approval.
