Under the Closer Economic Partnership
Arrangement (CEPA), effective as of 1 January 2004,
Mainland professionals (defined as PRC nationals possessing
valid securities or futures practising qualifications
in Mainland China) are recognised by the Securities
and Futures Commission (SFC) as holding relevant
industry qualifications to practice in Hong Kong.
As part of this arrangement, the
China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC)
has assigned the
Securities Association of China (SAC) and the
China Futures Association (CFA) to be the co-organisers
of the Paper 1 of the Licensing Examination for Securities
and Futures Intermediaries (LE) in the Mainland. Since 2005,
the HKSI has held the LE Paper 1 in the Mainland four times.
The fifth examination, being administered by the SAC,
will be held in Shanghai and Shenzhen at 2:00 ¡V 3:30 p.m., 5 July 2008 (Sat).
