The Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme has been
effective in Hong Kong since 2000. The MPF Intermediaries Examination conducted by the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) has been recognised by the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA)
for the purpose of enabling candidates to meet
the examination requirement for being an MPF intermediary. All MPF
intermediaries are required to pass an MPF examination recognised by the MPFA.
Examination Structure, Format and Fees
The examination paper will be offered in both English and Chinese. All examination questions will be set in multiple-choice (MC) format and will be compulsory. Under normal circumstances, the paper will be offered once a month. The passing mark is 70%.

Enrolment Prerequisites
All examinations are
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and there is
NO PREREQUISITE for enrolment.
Preparation of Examination
Candidates can download the
Study Notes from the MPFA's website for self-study
purposes. Hard copies of the Study Notes (HK$30
per copy) are available for sale at the HKSI office.
Certificate
Candidates who pass the examination will be awarded a certificate issued by the HKSI.
