As shown in Table 1, when compared with the
correctness rates of the previous month, candidates'
performance in Topic 3 (The Securities and Futures
Ordinance (SFO)) shows a noticeable improvement while
candidates' performance in Topic 5 (Business Conduct and
Client Relations) shows a marked decline. Candidates'
performance in the remaining seven topics is fairly
consistent although Topic 7 (Securities, Options and
Futures), on average, remains weak.
Table 2 shows
the subject areas in which candidates performed
unsatisfactorily in the Oct 2005 exam and the
topics/sections in the Study Manual which cover these
subject areas.
