As show in Table 1, with the exception of Topics 5
(Business Conduct and Client Relations), 6 (Business
Operations and Practices) and 7 (Securities, Options and
Futures), whose correctness rates have remained
consistent over the last 2 examinations, the correctness
rates of the remaining 6 topics are relatively volatile
when compared with the previous month. While Topic 1
(Regulatory Overview of the Hong Kong Financial
Industry) shows a strong improvement, Topics 3 (The
Securities and Futures Ordinance (SFO)) and 8 (Other SFC
Regulated Activities) show a sharp drop in candidates'
performance. In addition, candidates' performance in
Topic 7 remains weak.
Table 2 shows
the subject areas in which candidates performed
unsatisfactorily in the Sep 2005 exam and the
topics/sections in the Study Manual which cover these
subject areas.
