Dr Au King-lun is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Securities Institute (HKSI) and Chairman of the Instituteˇ¦s Executive Committee and Corporate Advisory Council. Dr Au also serves on the Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal, the Investigation Panel A of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal Panel. He was the Chairman of the HK Investment Funds Association in 2004/05. Dr Au is a CFA charter holder, and currently is the Chief Executive Officer of FRM Hong Kong Ltd leading its business efforts in Asia ex Japan and Korea. Before joining FRM, Dr Au worked in HSBC Global Asset Management (HK) Ltd as Director and Head of Institutional Business, Asia Pacific. He had overseen HSBCˇ¦s institutional business in Asia Pacific for over 10 years.

Dr Au was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) for his valuable contribution to the securities and asset management industry on 1 July 2008

Dr Au holds a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from Durham University and a BA in Physics from Oxford University.
