Hong Kong, 27 September: The Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute (HKSI Institute) today announced the launch of the Advanced Learning Platform (ALP) – an online portal that enables Members and financial services practitioners to learn anytime, anywhere and at their own pace. 

“With the advancement and rapid adoption of mobile technology, the HKSI Institute took the initiative to develop an advanced learning platform which provides learners the flexibility to access various types of technology based learning solutions anytime, anywhere,” said Mr John Maguire, Chairman of the HKSI Institute.  “We are grateful for the tremendous support of the Securities and Futures Commission, which has enabled us to realise our ambition to enhance the accessibility and scope of our learning offerings to financial services practitioners.  This will undoubtedly help to raise further the standard of excellence in Hong Kong’s financial services industry,” he added. 

“The ALP has enriched features to enable users to retrieve their learning records, examination results and manage their learning needs online,”  said Mr Colin Shaftesley, ALP Steering Committee Chairman.  “Beyond fulfilling an individual’s development needs, corporate clients can use ALP to monitor their employees’ CPT requirements,” he added. 

“All in all, with the ALP, users can start a seamless learning journey with the HKSI Institute,” said Ms Ruth Kung, Chief Executive of HKSI Institute.  “The ALP will strengthen our capabilities and enable HKSI Institute to continue to champion professional standards of excellence in Hong Kong’s financial services industry through offering more timely learning solutions and qualification programmes,” she explained.
